Elkhart Lake—Adolph Mayer, aged 63, life-long resident of the town of Rhine, died this morning at his home, five miles north of here. Mr. Mayer was born in the town of Rhine April 3, 1871, and was married to Miss Anna Pfingsten of Howard Grove on April 11, 1895. The couple have always made their home on the present Mayer farm.
Besides his wife, Mr. Mayer is survived by six sons, E H Mayer of Elkhart Lake, Harvey Mayer of Brillion, George and Elmer of Kiel, Ervin and Melvin, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Anhalt of the town of Rhine and Mrs. Edward Sievert, who resides near Kiel and eighteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Farmers' Mercantile Funeral Home and at St. John's Evangelical Church. The Rev. Carl Nagel will officiate and burial will be made in the Elkhart Lake cemetery.
