Mr. Mayer died Saturday at the Sheboygan County Hospital.
A native of the Town of Rhine, he was born Mary 5, 1903, the son of the late Adolph and Anna Mayer. He attended district schools and in 1926 was married to Miss Caroline Kohl of Johnsonville.
He was employed on a number of farms in Sheboygan County most of his life.
Survivors are a son, Wallace Mayer, Greenbush; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Melvina) Scheibl of Elkhart Lake, Mrs. Leonard (LaVerne) Faas, Adell, and Mrs. James (Marian) Boettcher, Fillmore; 18 grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Mayer, Sheboygan, and Melvin of Elkhart Lake, and a sister, Mrs. Elmer Anhalt, Kiel.
