Funeral services for Mary L. Boyd, 86, of Roseville, MI, were conducted from Whitson Funeral Home, Saturday, January 13, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Sam Putnam officiating. Burial was in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyd, a retired assembler with Chrysler Corp., died Tuesday, January 9 in Mr. Clemens General Hospital. A native of Putnam County, she was born September 2, 1903, to the late Van E. and Ellen Maynard Shanks. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Boyd.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Erma Dean) MacDonald, Detroit, MI; two sons, Gilbert Everette Boyd, East Detroit, MI and John C. Boyd Jr., Roseville, MI; four sisters, Erma Denny, Old Hickory, Eunita Denton, Mt. Juliet, Junita Grisham, Memphis, and Catherine Anderson, Cookeville; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
