To the Editor,
Dear Sir:
I was born in a log cabin of one room owned by my grandfather Benjamin Cunningham and situated three miles east of the village of Chewton near the Slippery Rock church, July 11, 1850. My parents had a family of eight children of which I am the oldest. My father, William Cunningham, afterward purchased a tract of land upon which he erected a two-story log house with a porch. Both of these cabins have long since been torn down but the location of both is marked by clusters of locust trees and springs which determined the location when they were built.
Yours truly,
Kegia (sic.) M. Guy
