R. S. CUNNINGHAM

R[obert] S[lemons] Cunningham, aged 84 years, passed away at the home of his son [Grover] Harry Cunningham on the Perry highway, near Dixie Inn, on Monday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock.

Mr. Cunningham was born in Wayne township, Lawrence county, on June 4, 1852, son of William and Nancy Vanehman (sic.) Cunningham and passed the greater part of his lifetime in this county. He was engaged in the farming occupation for many years and was a member of the Harmony Baptist church, highly respected by everyone. His wife died just a short time ago.

Surviving are four sons, Herman and C[yrus] C[lark] Cunningham of Glendale, California, M[itchell] W[illiam] Cunningham of Keokuk, Iowa, and Harry of Porterville, R. D. 2; one daughter, Mrs. Rhoda Dombaugh, of New Castle; one brother, Wylie Cunningham of Fombelle (sic.); one sister, Mrs. Sophia Weingartner, of Ellwood City, R. D. 1; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Harmony Baptist church, with a former pastor, S. L. Cobb, in charge. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.
