Last Rites Conducted for Mrs. Elsie Ryan
Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Ryan, who passed away in St. John's hospital in Helena June 8, following an automobile accident, were held from the Evangelical United Brethren church in Big Timber Friday afternoon. Rev. H. S. Tool officiated, and arrangements were in charge of Lowry's.
Music was by Rev. and Mrs. Andrew Roukema of Billings, Virginia Parks of Livingston and Shirley Huyser. Mrs. Mervin Sell was organist.
Pallbearers were, active; Sidney Huyser, Oscar McLane, Guy Scholten, Gerritt Scholten, E. A Bieber, and Howard Huyser; honorary; Dr. D. Clairborn, Mervin Sell, Art Gow, L. A. Westervelt, John Huyser, W. G. Robinson and Q. Huyser
Interment was in Mountain View.
Mrs. Ryan was born April 28, 1885, at Cedarville, Mo., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Beery. She was married to Robert Allen Ryan on August 29, 1904, at Cedarville. Mr. Ryan passed away last November.
Mrs. Ryan is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Viola MacKay, Seattle; Mts. Louise Goodman, Billings; Mrs. Bonnie Vork, Port Orchard, Wash,; two sons, Ralph W. Ryan of Big Timber, and Raymond D. Ryan of Missoula; two brothers, J. W. Beery, Center Colo.; and DeWitt Beery, Roanoke, Va,; and four sisters, Mrs. Vila Frieze, Stockton, Mo., Mrs. B. F. Melcher; Excelsior Springs, Mo., Mrs. Ethel Thurman, Burlington, Wash., and Mrs. Jessie Lester, Springfield, Mo. A brother, Rev. Gunnin Beery, Deer Lodge, died June 9 in Helena as a result of the same accident in which Mrs. Ryan lost her life.
