Ralph Ryan
Funeral services for Ralph Wesley Ryan who died April 13 at the Stillwater Community Hospital Columbus, were conducted April 17 at the Columbus Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Joseph Forrest officiated and burial was in Mountainview Cemetery, Big Timber.
Mr. Ryan was born March 4, 1906, in Bozeman the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Ryan. He spent his early childhood in the Bridger. Creek area near Bozeman attending Bridger Creek Rural School and graduating from Sweeet Grass High School.
He was married March 30, 1937, to Mildred Vork at big Timber. For 19 years he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Sweet Grass County. Later he worked for the A. W Miles C., Livingston for four years.
In 1970 the Ryans moved to Columbus. He was a deacon at the Assembly of God Church in Columbus.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Wesley Big Timber and Calvin, Butte; a brother Raymond Sewickley, PA., three sisters, Mrs. Viola McKay, Seattle, Mrs. Louise Goodman, Great Falls, and Mrs. Bonnie Vork, Kent, Wash., and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Bob Leinard, Norman Anderson, Arnold Anderson, Ivan McCrorie, Stan Koffer, and Russell Hatch.
