He was born Oct. 31, 1896, at Lodge, Mo., a son of the late Robert and Emma Minter Alexander.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille Strickland Alexander, Flat River; three sons, Robert Alexander, Rt. 2, Bonne Terre, Carl Alexander, Rt. 1, Farmington and Vernon Alexander, Crystal City; two daughters, Juanita (Mrs. John) Morgan, Centralia, Ill, and Sandra (Mrs. Rex) Dye, Lemay; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary McGlothlin, Marble Hill, and Ruth Melton, Brownsville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Alexander will be in state at 6:30 Friday evening at the Caldwell Funeral Home.
Chapel services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. David Rosen officiating.
Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery.
