William died at Smoketown, Maryland after the battle of Antietam and he is buried next to Eliza. The younger John died in Altoona and is buried at the Forge Cemetery adjacent to his first wife, Adaline Gates. Lucy is buried in the Hopewell Cemetery with her husband, James Ross. Eliza married second, about 1846, to George W. Bowers.
