Madrid Tucker Newton, 82, of Hampton, died Feb. 17 in Pleasant Valley Living Center in Little Rock.

She was born Feb. 20, 1913, in Hampton and she was a homemaker, member of Campground Presbyterian Church in Hampton, and widow of Jeptha Oliver Newton.

Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Tucker and Kathryn Hannegan-Tucker.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas O. Newton, Wood Newton, Keith Newton; two daughters, Carol Newton Brown and Gail Newton Wells; one brother, James Max Tucker; one sister Melba McGaugh; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at Campground Presbyterian Church in Hampton with Rev. Dale Gentry officiating. The burial services were held in Campground Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
