Mr. Charlie Clyde Moffatt of 904 Carolina Avenue, Rock Hill, South Carolina, departed this life on June 29, 1993, athis residence. He was born in Chester County, SC, the son of the late Mr. Charlie G. Moffatt and the late Mrs. Mary McDonald Moffatt.
He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He attended the public schools of Chester, SC. Clyde was a World War II veteran, serving his country in Naples Foggia, Southern France, and Rome-Ama. He received the Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, the EAMET Service Medal, and was awarded an Honorable Discharge. He retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Company after 30 years of service.
Surviving him are a loving wife, Mrs. Sophie W. Moffatt; six daughters, Mrs. Shirley M. Lee, Mrs. Juanita M. Hall, Miss Diane Moffatt, Mrs. Verna M. McNeal all of Rock Hill, Mrs. Ruby L. Morgan of Jamaica, NY and Mrs. Peggy Danner of Augusta, GA; four sons, Mr. Stanley D. MoffuttofRockHill and Mr. PhillipL. Moffatt of Brownsville, NJ,Mr. Mac Arthur Williamson of Brooklyn, NY and Mr. Sammie Williamson of Batesburg, SC; five sisters, Mrs. Luretha M. Hoyles, Mrs. Mildred M. Foster, Mrs. Annie M. Douglas all ofRock Hill, Mrs. Almond M. Brown and Mrs. Deater M. Wylie both of Chester, SC; three brothers, Mr. James. W. Moffatt, Mr. Willie A. Moffatt and Mr. Horace Moffatt, all of Baltimore, MD; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Frances Williamson; five sons-in-law. Mr. James W.
