Miss Mary Burton, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Burton of Newton, and Milo R. Burnell, son of Mr. & Mrs. O.R. Burnell, 917 West Green street, were married Sept 7 in St. Louis.
The service was read at 1 p.m. in the parsonage of Water Tower Baptist church. Mr. & Mrs. Albert Hutton of Decatur were attendants.
Mr. & Mrs. Burnell will live at 145 South Stone street. He is a tool maker at Chambers, Bering and Quinlan company.

DECATUR - Mary A. Burnell 93 of Decatur, IL passed away August 27, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Mary was born April 17, 1917 in Newton, IL the daughter of Charles and Anna (McColley) Burton. She was married September 7, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri to Milo Rue Burnell. Surviving: daughters - Kay (Joseph) Petrucha of Decatur, IL and Joy (Bill) Burris of Oreana, IL two sisters - Doris Raabe of Peoria, IL and Avanelle Gosnell of Newton, IL; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Preceded by parents, husband Milo Rue Burnell, daughter Judith Ann, five sisters and two brothers.
