In 1870 she lived with her parents, sister and two brothers on a farm in Toby Township, Clarion County, PA. Her father owned real property valued at $1000 and personal property worth $500.

In 1880 she lived with her parents and eight brothers and sisters on a farm in Toby Township--probably the same place.

In 1900 she and her husband and their seven children lived on a farm they owned, mortgage free, in Toby Township, Clarion County, PA.

In 1910 she and her husband and eight children lived on the farm--their oldest daughter was married and living in East Brady by then, and their two youngest children had been born, although they were missed in the census. Clarence worked as a fireman for a railroad, Oliver as a laborer in an auto shop, and Charles as a laborer on the home farm.

In 1920 she and her husband and seven lived there on the farm. Clarence worked in an ice cream factory, Charles as a laborer in a coal mine, Emma and Edith as school teachers, and Raymond as a railroader. (Clarence was also enumerated with his wife and their two children in Cumberland, MD.)

In 1930 just she and Charles and Cora lived there. They did not have a radio.

In 1940 she, her son Charles, her nephew John Blair, and her grandson Edwin Elder lived there. Their home was valued at $1000. Charles worked as a farmer, with an income in 1939 of $1000 for 52 weeks of work, and John as a coal miner, with an income in 1939 of $800 for 20 weeks of work.
