I haven't found any records of what killed this young girl, but would imagine it must have been diphtheria or scarlet fever, which killed so many young people around that time, including four of her Minteer cousins in Armstrong County.

In 1880 she lived with her parents and eight brothers and sisters on a farm in Toby Township, Clarion County, PA.
