Cora Elizabeth Bence, was born Feb. 23, 1881, a daughter of George M. and Catherine Bence. She married J. W. Sharp, Mar. 8, 1899. They were the parents of a daughter who died in infancy. Mr. Sharp died in 1933. She was a member of the Ash Grove Christian Church. Surviving were a brother, George Ed Bence of Mattoon and three half-brothers, Alva Bence of Windsor, Lyman Bence of Kansas City, MO and Roy Bence of Decatur.
