William Schmidt Taken By Death
William F. Schmidt, 801 North First street, lifelong resident of Sangamon county, died at 1:45 a.m. today (Tuesday) at St. John's hospital, where he had been a medical patient since Jan. 25. He was 79 years old.
Mr. Schmidt is survived by his wife, Lena, and several nieces and nephews. He was formerly employed as a carpenter, and held membership in the local carpenters' union. He was also a member of St. John's Lutheran church. Remains were removed to Vancil funeral home.

Funeral Is Tomorrow For William F. Schmidt
Funeral services for William F. Schmidt, 801 North First street, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Vancil funeral home. Rev. William W. Roth will officiate and burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
Mr. Schmidt, a lifelong resident of Sangamon county, died yesterday at St. John's hospital. He was 79 years old.
