Mrs. Blacketer was born March 16, 1894, in Union Township, the daughter of N. W. and Mary Emma (Burgan) Scott. On March 12, 1913, she was married to Ora E. Blacketer who preceded her in 1954. She was known for her hand sewn quilts making one each winter for many years.
Survivors are a son Lowell Blacketer, Lizton; and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Andrew Simkins officiated at the services, Friday, April 15, 1988 at the Baker Funeral Home in Danville. Burial was in the K. of P. Cemetery, Lizton.

Rainstown - Ora Blacketer and wife spent several days with the latter's father recently. The young people of the neighborhood charivaried them one evening while here.
