Forest Scott, a farmer living south of Pittsboro and east of Maplewood, died at his home Wednesday of last week at the age of 73. He was a life resident of the community and had been in ill health. He was a member of the former Raintown Christian Church.
Rev. Edgar Byrum of North Salem conducted the services at the Gregory Funeral Home, Pittsboro, Saturday morning. Burial was made at Lizton.
His widow, Stella, survives with two daughters, Roseanna Nichols, Plainfield, and Irene Stanley, Roachdale; two sisters, Alma Dale and Bessie Blacketer, Lizton; also seven grandchildren.
