Obituary from Central City Newsletter, Issue February 27, 1930:

Henry Zerbe, 74 years of age, died at midnight, Wednesday. Mr. Zerbe has been ailing for some little time though until recentrly he was not considered in a dangerously ill condition. Immediate relatives who survive are: Mrs. Sarah Taylor of Anamosa, adn Mrs George Bateman and Mrs Guy Hutchins of Central City, Iowa. The funeral will be held at the Guy Hutchins home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. George W. Self in charge, and burial will be made in the Boulder Cemetery.

According to this article it is reasonable that he died on the 19th of February, since the next Wednesday would have been too difficult to get in print by the issue date.
