Morgan Ballard, 58, Payson, died Monday, Aug. 8, 1977 at Payson City Hospital after a brief illness.
Born Nov. 11, 1918 in Payson to Ivon and Katie Okelberry Ballard, he married LaRie White on Aug. 3, 1940. She died July 22, 1971. He then married Gene Peay on Dec. 1, 1975 in Elko, Nev.
Mr. Ballard attended schools in Payson.
He had been a cattle and sheep man all his life. He was a member of the National Woolgrowers Assn.
Survivors include his wife of Payson, four sons and three daughters, Mrs. Jean Allred, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Joe (Pat) Bona, Payson; Marvin Ballard, Spanish Fork; Roy Ballard, Salt Lake City; Bill Ballard, Santaquin; Mrs. Jess (Bonnie) Davis, Brett Ballard, Payson and 10 grandchildren. Two brothers and four sisters, Sterling Ballard, Payson; Paul Ballard, Oregon; Fern Ballard and Beth Whitney, Salt Lake City; Mrs. A. T. (Rhea) Banks, Palmyra, and Mrs. Ted (Pearl) Winnie, Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary, Payson. Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday prior to services. Burial will be in Payson City Cemetery.
