Pearl Ballard Winnie, 85, A former resident of Mount Pleasant, UT passed away on July 8, 2008.





Pearl was born Oct. 3, 1922 in Payson, UT to Ivan Lee Ballard and Catherine Okelberry. She graduated from Payson High School, married Kedzie "Ted" Winnie on October 25, 1941 and resided in Payson until 1971 when they moved to Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her husband Ted; she was a devoted grandmother and loved spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed gardening, handiwork, and poetry; she had a great sense of humor, was quick witted, and always willing to lend a helping hand.






She is survived by her children Clair Winnie of Goshen, UT; Dale (Maxine) Winnie of Yorba Linda, CA; Calvin Winnie of Manti, UT; and Janet (Paul) Jorgensen of Spring City, UT; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Rhea Banks of Palmyra, UT; Beth Whitney of Salt Lake City, UT; brother Paul Ballard of Oregon. Preceded in death by her husband Ted; brothers Sterling Ballard, and Morgan Ballard; sister Fern Ballard; grandchildren, Jared and Brandy Winnie; great-grandson Benjamin Seely.





Funeral Services will be held on Fri., July 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary in Mount Pleasant, UT. A small Viewing for Friends and Family will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Mortuary prior to the Funeral Services.
Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant City Cemetery.
