Henry J. "Heine" Frommer, 82, Valley Falls, died Sunday, June 10, 1990, at a Topeka hospital. He suffered an apparent stroke while at a dance at Holton Saturday night.
Services will be Wednesday at Nellis Funeral Home, Valley Falls. Burial will be at Valley Falls Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Valley Falls Rescue Squad.
Mr. Frommer was born Aug. 5, 1907, at Schuyler, Neb., the son of John and Fannie Svoboda Frommer.
He was a farmer and an independent gas and oil dealer in Valley Falls for 35 years before retiring in 1971. He then established a lawn care service.
Mr. Frommer was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Valley Falls. He was a past master of Valley Falls Lodge No. 21, AF & AM, and had served on the Delaware Township Board and Valley Falls Volunteer Fire Department. He was active in square and round dance groups.
He married Juanita George July 30, 1931, in Omaha, Neb. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include three sons, Gene Frommer, Lakewood, Colo., John Frommer, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Jim Frommer, Valley Falls; a daughter, Deanna Hardenberher, Olathe; a brother, Frank Frommer, Valley Falls; a sister, Lydia Elston, Omaha, Neb.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
