Johnny Frommer, 81, passed away October 14th, 2017. He was born July 5th, 1936 in Valley Falls, Kansas. Johnny graduated from Valley Fall's High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany where he met his wife Herta M. Baumgartner. They had two children while in Germany, Eddie Frommer and Heidi Frommer and a third child born in the U.S., Michael. Johnny worked at the Post Office after returning to the U.S., then for Pepsi-Cola. He worked for Contential Baking Co. delivering Wonder Bread and Hostess cakes. He served as union Steward and local union Vice President, after retirement he worked for the Lee's Summit High School and lawn mowing and recycling. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Henry John Frommer and Juanita Frommer of Valley Falls, Kansas, 2 brothers, Jim Frommer, Valley Falls, Kansas and Harry E. Frommer, Loveland, Colorado. Survivors include; wife, Herta Frommer of, Lee Summit, daughter, Heidi Studna of Lake of the Ozarks; two sons Mike of Lee's Summit and Eddie Frommer of Independence, MO; sister, Deanna Harden Berger of Olathe, KS and grandchildren, Henry John Frommer, Rachel Frommer, Christina Frommer, Adam Studna, and Jennie Deters. Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Service will be Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10 am, also at the Funeral Home.
