LOUIS J. "RED" BUEKER, 81, of Columbia City, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born Aug. 24, 1928, in Cumberland County, Ill., he was the son of the late Aloysius Bueker and Francis (Jergens) Bueker. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a boilermaker at Power Plant Service. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn (Beltz) Bueker of Columbia City, brother, George Bueker Toledo Ill.; sisters, Luella Lilly of Effingham, Norma Otterson of Eau Claire, Wis., Margaret Willenborg Neoga Ill., Clara Stewart Helotes, Texas, Annie Jamison Teutopolis, Ill., and Helen McKinney Columbia City. He was also preceded in death by sister, Modonna; and brothers, William, Adolph and Carl. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Arcola. Fr. Alex Dodrai of St. Patrick Catholic Church officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St. Interment in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
