Joan M. "Annie" Jamison, 77 of Teutopolis, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at StoneBridge Memory Care in Effingham.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in St. Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to Jim Beam's Corner Cattery, a local animal shelter.


Joan was born August 20, 1945 in Trowbridge, the daughter of Aloysius and Frances (Jurgens) Bueker. She married Gernon D. Jamison on September 4, 1965 and he preceded her in death in 1985. Joan enjoyed gardening, quilting, and antiquing. She loved cats and was an avid fan of John Wayne.


Joan is survived by her life partner, Bill Pulsford; daughters, Jean (William) Shobe of Neoga, Cathern (Randy) Back of Effingham, and Amy (Brad) Hardiek of Springfield; son, Samuel of Effingham; sisters, Margaret Willenborg of Neoga, Norma Otterson of Eau Clair, WI and Clara Stuart of Helotes, TX; grandchildren, Blake Back, Tyler Back, Desirea Back, Benjamin Hardiek, Annie Hardiek, Levi Shobe, Jessie Jamison, Trenton Morrison, and Devin Morrison; great-grandchildren, Ian Shobe, Allie Loy, McKenzie Loy, Jaxon Back, Rylee Back, and Jaycee Back.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, William Bueker, Luella Lilley, Madonna Blair, Louis Bueker, Helen McKinney, Adolph Bueker, George Bueker, and Carl Bueker.
