Obit. Lawrence Van Horn
Lawrence Paul Van Horn, 72, of Malvern, died Saturday, May 6, 1989 at Hot Spring County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 3, 1917 in Mommoth Springs to William Daniel and Martha Elizabeth Cook Van Horn. A retired truck driver, he came to Malvern in January 1976.
He married the former Betty Jo Kimzey June 29, 1945 and was a Church of Christ member.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dennis Martin Van Horn of Memphis and Stephen Daniel Van Horn of Malvern; five brothers, Gene Van Horn of Burnett, Texas, Ray Van Horn of Fresno, Calif., Herb Van Horn and Ed Van Horn, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Don Van Horn of Washington State; three sisters, Mary Efird of Malvern, and Laura Stapp and Clara Blackburn, both of Tulsa, Okla., and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Bradley. Burial will be in Rockport Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Iky Scott, Joe Smith, George Nowlin, Harold Tillman, Huey Saling and Marion Wlson.
