Ed was the son of William Daniel and Martha Elizabeth Cook Van Horn. He never married. Ed was a chef and retired from
Borden Cafeteria. He moved to Tulsa from Malvern, Arkansas, after his parents died and lived with his sister and brother in law, Slyvester Dee and Tennie Laura Van Horn Stapp, till he found work and moved out on his own.
