Mrs. Georgia M. Garrett Toy, 81, of Maysville, passed away Wednesday evening at the Augusta Health Care Facility in Augusta. She was the widow of Charles D. Toy who passed away on June 24, 2000.
Mrs. Toy was born in Maysville on August 26, 1920, to the late Jesse and Ida Garrett (Leming). She was a homemaker and a member of the Voice of God Tabernacle in Germantown, Ky.
She is survived by three sons, James (Opal) Toy of Minerva, Gene (Sharon) Toy of Charleston, Ind., and Larry (Brenda) Toy of Maysville; a sister, Katherine Schweitzer of Alexandria, Ind.; 19 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren.
Georgia was also preceded in death by a son Charles Toy, her daughter Laverne Ruark, and her brother Houston Garrett, and three sisters Bernice Garrett, Ora Todd, and Marietta Crist. Services for Georgia Toy are 2 p.m. today at Brell and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. William Riley officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories. Calling hours are from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
