JAMES HARVEY "JUNIOR" MCMASTERS died early June 23,1990, at St.John's Regional Hospital following a recent illness. Junior was born in Dade County May 3, 1920, to Harvey and Mollie (Montgomery) McMasters. He and Evelyn Carmack were married March 21, 1941. He is survived by Evelyn and his 10 children, Paul, Woodbridge, Va.; Leland, Stockton; David, Springfield; Leslie, Springfield; Mark, Springfield; Scott, Stockton, Levian McKee, Springfield; Diann Huddleson, Albuquerque, N.M.; Dena Cox, St. Charles; Mirian Langford, El Dorado Springs; 11 grandchildren,Amy McMasters; Leanna Kennon; Pamela Lynch; Eric, Sandra, Shelley, Sarah, and Mark Huddleson; Chanda and Ryan Hughey; and Jason Langford; and three great grandchildren, Cody and Garrett Lynch; and Dale Kennon. He had 15 brothers and sisters, nine of which are still living. They are Lee and Benton, Greenfield; Horace and Clyde, Dadeville; Ferrell, El Dorado Springs; Reba Carmack and Phyllis Bishop, Lockwood; Bessie Wheeler, Ponca City,Okla.; and Geneva Stanley, Healdsburg, Calif., Elvin, Norman, Charlie and Lorene preceded him in death. Junior moved to Stockton in 1950 to work at Hammons walnut plant. He worked there until 1952 when he went to work at Roberts Motor Company. He worked there for over 20 years and was considered one of the best body and fender mechanics in the area. After retiring, he and Evelyn sold their farm and moved into Stockton. Everyone who knew him will miss him and his special "knack" for turning a tale. Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 1990, at the Stockton Christian Church. Burial was in Fullerton (should be Fullington) Cemetery, south of Cane Hill.
