Ferrel Eugene McMasters, 79, of El Dorado Springs, passed away at his home on February 16, 2013. Ferrel was born on July 10, 1933 to J. Harvey and Mary "Molly" Elizabeth McMasters in Dadeville, MO. He was the youngest of 16 children. After graduating from Greenfield High School, Ferrel joined the United States Navy and served in the Korean War. On June 4, 1968, Ferrel was united in marriage to Mary Cathryn "Katie" Wills. They were happily married for 42 years. They shared Katie's sons, Steve and Mike Wills. Ferrel worked many years for the International Shoe Co. and O'Sullivan's. He was a long member of the First Baptist Church. In his spare time he loved to fish, hunt, play music, and spend time with his family and friends. In retirement Ferrel enjoyed spending time with his "buddies" at the coffee shop and hosting fish fries for family and friends. Ferrel was a devoted family man and was dearly loved by his family for his warm heart and gentle sense of humor. He will be missed by all that knew him and were blessed by his presence. Ferrel was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Katie, his parents, and 11 brothers and sisters. He is survived by 2 sisters Phyllis and Geneva, 2 brothers Clyde and Lee, 2 stepsons Steve and Mike Wills, 2 grandsons Jesse Wills and Jackson and wife Sarah Wills and 2 great-grandsons Jonathon and Gabriel.
