Reba Elizabeth Carmack was born March 21, 1913, the sixth child of Harvey and Mollie McMasters. She passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood.

She grew up in the Dade County areaa and was married to Bernard Frank Carmack on June 12, 1933, at the age of 20. Reba and Frank continued to live in the area until 1941. At that time, they moved to Watsonville, California, where they made their home for the next 30 years. In 1971, they retired and moved back to Dade County, residing in Lockwood. Frank passed away on March 13, 2003. They would have been Married 70 years in June. Reba enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was proud of her large close family, and loved family get togethers. She was also an active member of Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church of Lockwood.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Mollie McMasters; husband Frank; six brothers, Walllace, Charlie, Elvin, Elwood, Joe Wesley, and Benton McMasters; one sister-Lorene; and one grandson, Kenneth Evans.

She is survived by her two children; Harold Franklin Carmack, born March 31, 1934; and Madge Lorene Thompson, born July 21, 1937; six grandchildren, and one Great Great
granddaughter; Three sisters; Phyllis Bishop of Lockwood; Bessie Wheeler of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and Geneva Stanley of Santa Rosa, California. Four brothers; Horace, Lee, Clyde and Ferrell McMasters; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services were held at the Lockwood United Methodist Church on Monday, January 10, at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Roger
McKee officiating.

Reba was 91, and suffered a massive stroke Tuesday, Jan. 3,and died Wednesday afternoon at the Good Sheperd Nursing Home.

The interment was in the Dadeville Masonic Cemetery, Dadeville, Missouri.

Margaret Speight wrote in hehr column of the Vedette, dated January 20, 2005, thqt she excepted an invitation to join the family members for dinner served in the basement of Lockwood Methodist Church Monday, January 3, prior to memorial services in the church for Reba at 1:30 p.m. As
is to be expected in our area aof Missouri, there was an abundance of delicious food and drinks for all to enjoy. It also provided the opportunity for the family members to visit with other family members, and for the rest to visit with all of them.

A nice crowd attended the memorial service. Pastor Roger McKee officiated and his thoughts expressed were well taken. Carolyn Young accompanied Harold and Nancy Nentrup who sang "How Great Thou Art" and "It is Well with My Soul". Pall bearers were; Fred Obert, Ronald January, Dale Bishop and David, Leland and Mark McMasters. Arrangements were under the care of Lockwood Chapel, and as usual, they did a lovely job and Reba looked so natural in the little red hat.
