Helen A. Cox, 98, of Hoopeston died at 5:35 a.m. Saturday (June 26, 2010) at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 25, 1911 in Indianola to George and Addie Jackson Bostwick. She married Arlo J. Cox on Sept. 13, 1929 in Monticello. They were later divorced and he died on June 30, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, five sisters, two sons (Jerry and Jack) and one grandson.
She is survived by two sons, Arlo D. (Kay) Cox and Richard Cox, both of Hoopeston; one daughter, Joan Melser of South Bend, Indiana; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
