Floyd B. Bostwick, 70, a resident of 1404 N. Gilbert 20 years, died at 8:40 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 18, 1984) at his home. Death was attributed to natural causes.

He had owned and operated the Conoco Service Station at Vermilion and Seminary and had been co-owner of Bostwick and Grinestaff service station at Gilbert and Fairchild. He also had been employed for 20 years at the Illiana Theater.

A former employee of the Hegeler Zinc Co., he also had been manager of the tire department at Noble Motor Company for 30 years.

He was a member and deacon of the Vermilion Heights Christian Church. He also was a member of Anchor Masonic Lodge 980 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Danville.

Born Sept. 3, 1914, in Westville, Ill., he was a son of George and Addie Jackson Bostwick. He married Martha Elizabeth Kinney Jan. 1, 1952, in Danville. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, the Rev. Kenneth Bostwick of Danville and Jerry Bostwick of Georgetown, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Cox, Mrs. Eileen Ervin and Mrs. Doris Johnson, all of Hoopeston, Ill.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barrick & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Motta will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
