Roy Douglas Hutcherson

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Skyline Memorial Funeral Home for Roy Douglas Hutcherson, age 51, of 5805 NE 23rd Avenue, who died Monday in Portland, Oregon.

A native of Weakley County, Tennessee, Mr. Hutcherson moved to Portland in 1940 and was employed as a switchman with the Spokane Portland & Seattle Railroad Company. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Independent Order of Foresters, and the Railroad Switchman's Union. He was preceded in death by his father; Asa Clois Hutcherson, three brothers; Cecil Hutcherson, Asa Buford Hutcherson, Wayne Hutcherson, and one sister; Stella Mae Hutcherson.

Survivors include his wife; Kathryn Halbrook Hutcherson, two daughters; Gayanne Hutcherson Bicandi of Ridgefield, Washington, Judith Hutcherson Holteen of Portland, Oregon, his mother; Onie Maye Mosley Hutcherson of Dresden, three brothers; Elbert Hoyt Hutcherson, Gaither Dale Hutcherson, and Herman Wade Hutcherson, all of Dresden, and two sisters; Lula Mae Hutcherson Shanklin of Dresden, and Ruby Faye Hutcherson Sherwood of Memphis, and six grandchildren.
