We rejoice in the peaceful passing of Dessie Rhe Wagner, 93, at her home surrounded by family Thursday morning, June 3, 2010. She was born April 25, 1917, to Gurley W. Jinkins and Dorah Ella Lane Jinkins in Earle, Arkansas, the seventh of eight children. Dessie Rhe was married on February 8, 1938, to Richard Arnold Wagner, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Richard Arnold Wagner, Jr., a grandson, Johnny Ray Wagner, and all her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Eddie) Heathcott, with whom she had lived with for the past 20 years; granddaughters, Regina (Mike) Casey of Phoenix, AZ, Ramona (Howard) Bennett of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Alicia Heathcott of Heber Springs; two step-grandchildren, Eddy Dean (Renee) Baker of Milan, Tennessee, and Tracy Baker of Dyer, Tennessee; 6 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

She was a faithful member of Chastain Chapel Church until her health kept her from attending.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 12:00 noon at Chastain Chapel Church; services following at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Derek Westmoreland officiating, with burial in Chastain Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Monty Jenkins, Claude Jenkins, Howard Bennett, Zach Bennett, Dean Baker, and Gene Cobb. Honorary pallbearers are Henry Brune, Hal Morgan, Harold Davis, John Harris, William Shirley, Neal Jenkins, and Milton Jenkins.
