One of my fondest memories of Granddaddy Jenkins,is when he would come to visit.He would come in the door,take off his jacket and hang it on a nail on the wall...(smiling all the while)..then he'd go on and talk to my Mom. As soon as the other kids went outside, Granddaddy would get up and we'd go to his jacket. He would take it down and let me search the pockets for the piece of candy that I knew would be there! I know he must have given the other kids some,too...but this was our ritual..every time he came.
