Elsie J. Jakel of Eugene Dies
Mrs. Elsie Jakel, 80, 204 Kinney Loop, Eugene, died Saturday at Albany General Hospital after a short illness.
She was born March 6, 1886, on the donation land claim of her parents, Henry and Adeline Jackson. She had lived in Lebanon, Shedd and Corvallis. She lived in Eugene for 17 years until moving to Albany about three months ago.
She was married in 1907 to Emil A. Jakel who died in June, 1965.
She is survived by a son, Gale Jakel, Roseburg; a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Abraham, Seaside; two brothers, Ray Jackson, Albany and Harold Jackson, Tangent; two sisters, Mrs. Verl Quinlan, Corvallis, and Mrs. Lenna Arnett, Albany; one grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakville Cemetery.
