QUINLAN, Mrs. Verle Jackson Williams, 72, Corvallis, died Oct. 8. Survived by husband; Lawrence Quinlan; children: Verne D. Williams, Shedd, Melvin L. Wiliams, Philomath, Kenneth L. Williams, Corvallis; a daughter, Mrs. Doris A. Cox, preceeded her in death in November of 1959; brothers: Harold K. Jackson, Tangent, Ray L. Jackson, Albany; sister: Mrs. Lenna M. Arnett, Albany; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services Fisher Funeral Home Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2 p.m. Interment Willamette Memorial Park, Albany

Former Oakville Resident Dies
Mrs. Verle Verdes Jackson Williams Qunilan, 72, of Corvallis, died Saturday after a long illness.
She was born April 24, 1894 in Tangent, and lived in Dever, Plainview, and Oakville before moving to Corvallis in 1955.
She was married to Glenn Otis Williams who died in 1954, and to Lawrence Quinla who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Verne, of Shedd, Melvin of Philomath, and Kenneth of Corvallis; two brothers, Harold R. Jackson of Tangent, and Ray L. Jackson of Albany; a sister, Mrs. Lenna M. Arnett of Albany; several nieces and nephews, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Doris A. Cox, died in 1959.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of the Western Star Grange.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fisher Funeral Home in Albany, Rev. Dale Brown presiding. Burial will follow at Willamette Memorial Park.
