COOKVILLE - F.M. 'Tuffy" Anderson, 74, of Cookville died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9 at Bethel Cemetery in Scroggins with Bro. Dwayne Phillips officiating. Interment is under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson was born on Dec. 11, 1933, in Scroggins, the son of Floyd Anderson and Alley (Townsend) Anderson. He worked in the rolling mill at Lone Star Steel Company.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Mickey Anderson of Cookville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Terri Phillips and Robert Grammer of Fort Worth and Tammy Wells of Bedford; grandchildren, Jason Anderson of Omaha, Corey and Jennifer Anderson of Cookville, Austin Yarbrough of Longview and Brittney Phillips of Grapevine; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Imogene Hicks of Scroggins, Joann McElehany of Tyler, Floy Van Zant of Pflugerville, and Bobbie Towery of Jackson, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Anderson; a grandson, Casey Anderson; and his parents.
No visitation is planned.
