She leaves her daughters, Carolyn Rose of Tyler, Texas and Verna Sue and her husband Gary Walton of Arp, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Misty Jo and her husband Jeffery Bozman and Gary W. Walton, II; one great grandchild, Rhys Bozman. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Wayne McElhaney; a son, Joe Carroll Brooks; brother, F.M. "Tuffy" Anderson; sisters, Floy Van Zandt, Bobby Towry, and Imogene Hicks.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 AM Friday, August8, 2014 at Bethel Cemetery in Franklin County.
