Miss Mary Rubutsky, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rubutsky Sr., of South Tamaqua street, McAdoo, became the bride of George Racho, of Hazleton, in a ceremony performed by Rev. Father Poinsiak in St. Mary's Slovak R.C. church, McAdoo at nine o'clock, Saturday morning. Father Poinsiak also read the nuptial mass, during which Miss Dvorsack played the organ and Miss Leshko sang two solos. The church was especially decorated for the occasion. John Rubutsky, brother of the bride, was best man and a sister, Anna, was maid of honor. Misses Julia Dvorsack and Betty Racho were bridesmaids and George Dvorsack and Walter Skernolis were ushers. The bride wore a white satin gown with accessories to match and carried lillies of the valley and larkspurs. The maid of honor wore a dress of pale blue with accessories to match and carried yellow tea roses. The bride was given in marriage by her father, John Rubutsky Sr. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents at McAdoo. After a honeymoon in Atlantic City, the couple will reside in Hazleton.

'George Racho'
George Racho, 91, of 70 N. Church St., Hazleton, died Thursday morning at Saint Luke Pavilion. Born in Hazle Brook, he was the son of the late Andrew Racho and Anna (Kollessar) Racho. He resided in Hazleton the greater part of his life. He was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church. In business for 67 years and active until recently, George began a retail coal business in 1937 and founded George Racho Trucking and Excavating Company, Hazleton, in 1945. He was chairman of the board of Brook Contracting Corporation, which he began in 1960. He purchased and developed South Tamaqua Coal Pockets in 1977, and presently was also operating George Racho Heavy Equipment. In addition, he was a principal in the development of Fisher Mining Company, Williamsport, incorporated in 1969. Mr. Racho was owner of Racho Stables since 1985, and had racehorses at various tracks in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Maryland. He was a member of the United States Trotting Association, the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Association and a life member of the Elks Association.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were brothers, Andrew, John, Joseph, Michael and Steve; and sisters, Anna Knoublaugh, Elizabeth Skernolis, Mary Chunko, Margaret Patrick Maxwell and Ione Lenhardt.

George will be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his perseverance and generous spirit. Memorial contributions may be made to Diakon Lutheran Services - Hazleton Area, 123 N. Vine St., Hazleton, Pa. 18237; or St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, 5 E. 20th St, Hazleton. A private funeral was held from the John J. Pusti Funeral Home, 480 W. Broad St., Hazleton. A Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Carmen Scuderi, assisted by Deacon Lawrence Foran. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. The pallbearers, all grandsons, were attorney G. Jeffrey Racho, William Keba, Christopher Racho, David Keba, Larry Keba Jr. and Remo Molino.
