"Mrs. John Chunko"
Mrs. Mary Chunko, 63, wife of John Chunko, 115 St. James Drive, Drifton, died Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Hospital where she had been a patient the past 6 weeks. She was born in Hazle Brook, a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Kolessar) Racho and had resided in Drifton most of her life. Prior to her retirement one year ago she was employed by the Publix Shirt Corp. She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Freeland.

Preceding her in death were three brothers: Andrew, Joseph and John Racho, and two sisters: Mrs. Anna Knoblaugh and Mrs. Betty Skernolis. Surviving are her husband John and three daughters: Mrs. Emil (Mary) Midlick and Mrs. Eugene (Patricia) Sheeto, Levittown; Mrs. Cosmo (Ethel) Altavilla, Hazleton. Also surviving are 5 granddaughters and the following brothers ands sisters: George, Steve, Michael, and Mrs. Margaret Maxwell, all of Hazleton; Mrs. Warren (Ione) Lenhart, Frederick, Md.; Mrs. Steve (Ethel) Adams, Bristol. There are several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home, Second Street entrance. Requiem high mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's B. C. Church, Freeland at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary (Racho) Chunko, 115 St. James Drive, Drifton, who died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital, was held yesterday from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Waselus and Msgr. Paul Firczak were concelebrants of the requiem high mass in St. Mary's Byzantine Rite Catholic Church, Freeland, and gave the blessing at the funeral home. Seated in the sanctuary were the Rev. Myron Badnerosky and the Rev. Emil P. Haladay. Revs. Waselus and Badnerosky and Msgr. Firczak gave the blessing at the grave in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Pallbearers, all nephews of the deceased, were Steven, Andrew and Michael Racho, Andrew Adams, Gregory and Gerald Chunko.
