EVANSVILLE COURIER & PRESS OBITUARY – 08/04/2002
Kenneth "Eugie" R. Phillips, 64, of Evansville, IN, died Friday, August 2, 2002, at 9:20 p.m. at St. Mary's Medical Center. Kenneth was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation in 2001, after 32 years of service. He was a member of Local #808 IUE-AFL-CIO. He was preceded in death by Norm Phillips in 1998. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patsy Phillips of Evansville, IN; son, Keith Phillips of Evansville, IN; brothers, Franklin Phillips, Earl Phillips, and Jimmy Phillips, all of Evansville, IN; sister, Martha Merideth of Evansville, IN; and nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2002, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Reverend Alfred Lott. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. The Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Friends may call Monday, August 5, 2002, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel. Arrangements are by Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road.
