Norman Harold "Norm" Phillips, 58, of Evansville, died Tuesday night at Deaconess Hospital of natural causes. He worked at Whirlpool Corp. for 32 years. He was a member of Calvary Temple and Local #808. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Gayle (Cheshire); a daughter, Angie Howard of Boonville, IN; a sister, Martha Merideth of Evansville; four brothers, John, Earl, Kenneth and James, all of Evansville; two grandchildren, Brandi and Shelby; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, the Rev. Charles Turnage officiating, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery, where Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
