Norman Harold "Norm" Phillips, 58, of Evansville, died Tuesday night at Deaconess Hospital of natural causes. He worked at Whirlpool Corp. for 32 years. He was a member of Calvary Temple and Local #808. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Gayle (Cheshire); a daughter, Angie Howard of Boonville, IN; a sister, Martha Merideth of Evansville; four brothers, John, Earl, Kenneth and James, all of Evansville; two grandchildren, Brandi and Shelby; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, the Rev. Charles Turnage officiating, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery, where Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
