Services were held at the Jimmy Osburn Valhalla chapel in Hayti Monday afternoon for William G. Alford, 52, who died at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital on Saturday, September 16. The Rev. A.C. Gardner conducted the service and burial was in East Woodlawn cemetery at Hayti.
Mr. Alford was born in Trenton, Tenn. on December 12, 1908.
He leaves four daughters, Mrs. Milton Store, Mrs. Clifford Myers and Joyce Marie Alford, all of Muskegon, Mich. and Mrs. Floyd Jester of Hayti; three sons, William, Samuel and Robert Alford, all of Muskegon; five sisters, Mrs. Harvey Jones, Caruthersville, Mrs. C.W. Stout, Hayti, Mrs. Alton Terrett, Lilbourn, Mrs. Pearl Schrimsher, Huntsville, Ala. and Mrs. Jerald Johnson, Marks, Miss.; one brother, Albert Alford, Lilbourn; and thirteen grandchildren.
