Mr. Hugh Arnold, 72 died Saturday in Lincoln Regional Hospital after a long illness.
The funeral was Monday at Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles George and the Rev. Burl Wilkerson officiated, and burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Mr Arnold was a native of Lincoln County, son of the late Oscar Samuel and Julie Vann Arnold. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Clark Arnold; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Moore and Mrs. Faye Collins, both of Fayetteville; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Lou Dodson and Mrs. Myrtle Hall, both of Adrian, Michigan, and Mrs. Bessie Cindel of Toledo, Ohio; four brothers, Leon Arnold of Nashville, Jim Arnold of Flintville, Grover Arnold of Tiptonville, and Robert Earl Arnold of Winchester; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
