OBIT:
Sunday, January 26, 1879, at 1 AM of dropsy, Mrs. Anna Essex, at the residence of her son-in-law, William Reamy, two and a half miles northwest of this place, in her seventy-third year.
Her remains were interred in the Moravian Cemetery at 1 o'clock today. Four children survive her, of which the Rev. Amos Essex, of the Baptist church, at Franklin, is one.
