Eli Edgar "Edward E." Eckstein, 82, died Wednesday, January 15, 1958 at 3:40 p.m. in his home at 1041 Monaca St., following a several months illness.

He was born September 11, 1875 in North Georgetown, the son of Amos David Eckstein & Leanda Ann "Leanne" Eberwein-Eckstein.

Mr. Eckstein resided in East Liverpool for 21 years. He was section foreman for the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. for several years but his last employment was with the Crucible Steel Co., from which he retired in 1946.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Rose Ellen Deem-Beighey-Eckstein; four sons, John F. Eckstein & Eli Walton "Doll" Eckstein of Industry and John Edward Eckstein, Sr. & James Thomas Eckstein, both at home; two daughters, Mrs. Veda Baker of Monaca, and Mrs. Hester Reed of East Liverpool; five step-daughters, Mrs. Esther Hill and Mrs. Betty Bagley of Richmond, Mrs. Mary Montgomery of Costonia, Mrs. Leona DiLorenzo of Steubenville and Mrs. Ida McFall of East Liverpool; a brother, Robert Clayton Eckstein of Salem; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Perminski of Chicago, and 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Rites were held Saturday, January 18, 1958 at the Dawson Funeral Home by Evangelist Earl Finley of the Bradshaw Ave. Church of Christ.

He was laid to rest next to his 1st wife, Jessica Blanche Walton-Eckstein, in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Industry, Pennsylvania.
