Born April 26, 1873 in North Georgetown,Ohio, the son of the late Amos David Eckstein & Leanda Ann "Leanne" Eberwein-Eckstein.
He was a farmer by trade.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Minnie Ora White-Eckstein whom he married May 24, 1894 in Columbiana County, Ohio, as well as four brothers, David William Eckstein, Franklin John "Frank" Eckstein, Edward E. "Eli Edgar"Eckstein & Darius "Homer" Eckstein, & three sisters, Mary Charlotte Eckstein-Whinnery, Lulu Celestia Eckstein-Ward & Elizabeth Blanch "Lizzie" Eckstein-Kaminsky.
He is survived by his second wife, Bessie Missouri Welch-Paxson-McKissick-Eckstein whom he married May 28, 1938 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio.
Mr. Eckstein was laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery in Salem, Columbiana County, Ohio.
