Rose Ellen Deem-Beighey-Eckstein, 70, resident of the Rohrig Nursing Home in Urichsville, passed away June 11, 1968 from Consumption.

She was born March 12, 1898 in McFarland, Ritchie County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late John Jackson Deem & Lucy Ellen Eddy-Deem.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Franklin John "Frank" Beighey, whom she married in 1917; her 2nd husband, Eli Edgar "Ed" Eckstein, whom she married March 12, 1946; three sisters; Lillian B. "Lily" Hoyt, Goldie B. Bevington & Ivy H. Deem, as well as an infant brother, Jesse C. Deem.

Survivors include six daughters; Esther M. Hill, Lucy B. Eckstein, Ida B. McFall, Leona V. DiLorenzo, Betty M. Bagley & Mary E. Montgomery; two sons, John E. Eckstein, Sr. & James T. Eckstein. Also surviving are four sisters; Laura M. Riggs, Ida E. Fairweather, Cora J. Stump & Molly Gay Bevington; three brothers; Andrew J. "Jack" Deem, Harry M. Deem & John W. Deem.

Services were held on June 14, 1968 at the Uhrich-Hostettler Funeral Home in Tuscarawas County, by the Rev. Lloyd Hostettler.

She was laid to rest in Union Cemetery in Urichsville, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.
